Mansion Merida is a beautiful historical gem. The courtyard with the lovely fountain creates a serene atmosphere for breakfast, where I enjoyed made-to-order meals every morning until noon. The furnishings have a charming vintage appeal, giving a taste of the past. My room had an antique atmosphere combined with modern comfort, thanks to the powerful air conditioning and soundproof windows keeping the street sounds at bay. However, the room could use some renovations as it felt a bit worn down in places. I experienced a troubling incident during my stay. my sister encountered a situation at the pool where she felt uncomfortable with staff lingering around her. That put a sour note on an otherwise enjoyable trip. Despite that, the staff tried to be accommodating, and the owner went above and beyond by delivering box lunches personally when we had an early flight. The location is perfect, just a couple of blocks from the main square. This place has great potential but also needs to address certain issues to enhance the overall guest experience.

My thoughts, in two sentences
Set in a beautifully restored historic mansion, this charming hotel provides a serene courtyard with a stunning fountain for idyllic breakfasts. With spacious suites that blend antique elegance and modern comforts, attentive staff make every moment memorable, ensuring a warm welcome and exceptional service throughout the stay.

missingWrote a review on Nov 14excellent serviceancient air conditioningcommercial area
The hotel provides excellent service and personalized attention.
Unfortunately, the air conditioning system in our Junior Suite was ancient and rattled throughout the night, making it impossible to sleep peacefully. Additionally, our room faced the street, which meant we were constantly disturbed by noise from passing traffic. The location, while convenient, felt overly commercial, with bustling commerce and loud stores overshadowing the serene experience we had hoped for.

My honest journey to loving (or hating) this
Enjoyed generous breakfast portions in a stunning courtyard, complemented by exceptionally thoughtful staff eager to enhance my experience.
Disappointed with the high price for dinner and some seafood options lacking flavor, impacting the overall dining experience.
